We undertake not to acquire minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold) finance armed groups in conflict areas (Democratic Republic of Congo “DRC” and adjacent countries). We do not abolish the extraction of these minerals in these regions because it would harm legitimate miners.
We are taking action across our supply chain to ensure that our sources do not finance armed groups in the DRC and countries adjacent. To this end, we continue to investigate our supplier countries and we also do due diligence in the supply chain following the processes and procedures established in the Due Diligence Guidelines of the OECD for Responsible Mineral Supply Chains in Areas of Conflict and Risk. Our Director is responsible for managing the actions of this team.
We expect our suppliers to have a policy in place and implement a system to trace the origin of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold supplied to the organization, following the model developed by Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative. http://www.responsiblemineralsinitiative.org/
Suppliers are encouraged to report ethical concerns or violations policy, as described in http://www.giovannipassarella.com.br/politicas-da-empresa. a> More information on this subject: http://www.responsiblemineralsinitiative.org/
